Random Musings of a Curious Mind

Life Sucks - And Then (Hopefully) Continues

Some days are just bright, sunny and enjoyable. Others - not so much.

Those of you who know us, know about Mark's liver transplant in June 2004. And you also know that he nearly died several times before that.

We found out, on the 20th, that Mark has developed a cyst on the new liver. When they removed his diseased liver in 2004, it had 2 cancerous lesions, but the doctors assured use that the cancer was limited to the liver and the transplant effectively removed all of it.

Sadly, we also found out that, during a recent MRI, they found a lesion on Mark's left lung.

On June 29th, Mark will undergo a CT scan to investigate the marks on his liver and his lung. Normally, this procedure isn't very dangerous, but - because of the immunosuppressants that he is taking - the dye administered could cause his kidneys to shut down.

So, some days are just bright, sunny and enjoyable. Others - not so much.
