Desperately looking for something positive in the news today, I decided that the most upbeat story comes straight off of my homepage: The Hunger Site and their "Click to Give" program.
For those of you who haven't seen this wonderful site and all of its sister sites, let me explain. Visit any of the sites and click to give to that cause. The sponsors of the sites donate the gifts - be it 6 bowls of pet food, free books, preservation of endangered rainforest, free mammograms, basic healthcare for kids, or 1.1 cups of staple food - per click! It doesn't cost the 'clicker' a thing and you're not limited to one click per day.
I have changed my homepage to The Animal Rescue Site so that I am reminded, every time I log in, to click and give.
