Random Musings of a Curious Mind

"It is an old maxim of mine that when you have excluded the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

Dentemp OS

There isn't much, to my mind, that is more painful than tooth problems. I know, because I have a mouthful of fillings and crowns, not to mention a couple of cracked molars that could really use attention. The last time I visited a dentist, he added a couple of crowns to the collection, but didn't exactly do a terrific job. Because of that, I lost a crown a few months ago.

Given my reluctance to visit another dentist, I ignored the feeling that one of my crowns was actually moving around. Eating anything that required a lot of chewing, like a tough steak or carrot sticks, shot pain through my jaw. Because I never knew what, exactly, would set off the pain, I was reluctant to dine in public. Some days I could barely eat at all. Then, one day, the worst happened. I don't remember what, exactly, I was eating; I do know that suddenly I was chewing on the crown.

Now, in case you didn't know, in order to fit a crown, the dentist grinds down the sides and top of the natural tooth to make it smaller. Then, the crown is cemented over the top of this little nub. Not a big deal, as long as the crown is in place. But, when the crown comes off, all of those lovely nerve endings are exposed to the world. Every hot or cold drink sets off immediate agony. There is really no way to chew anything, because the temperature of the food and the pressure on the exposed tooth nub is excrutiatingly painful.

Had I known about Dentemp OS I could have spared myself a great deal of misery. This product is great. An FDA-approved dental cement, it can be used for all kinds of temporary dental repair, from replacing lost fillings to cementing loose caps and crowns. And it couldn't be easier to get and use.

Because it's available over-the-counter, there's no waiting for a dental appointment or suffering all weekend. I especially like the fact that it's instantly useable, no mess and no mixing. Each vial contains several applications and is resealable, so it stays fresh. The best part? You can eat on it! Just let it set for about 30 minutes and you're all set.

If you have dental problems like I do, you have to try this product. I know I'll be keeping some on hand at all times.
