Health Update
Well, it's been about 10 days, so I thought I'd let everyone know how we're doing.
Mark's off the pain medication and, most days, doesn't have too much pain. Of course, that's not always the case. Between his liver acting up and the missing 3/4 lung, he has some pretty rough days. His body is trying to heal, so he's pretty tired and has to rest quite a bit.
I've been completely off the crutches for about a week now and get around pretty well. The trips to the store don't take quite as long, but the stairs are a serious pain in the knee. By the time I get up to the apartment, I'm ready for a nap.
We made a pact tonight, because it just had to be done - only one of us can be out of commission at a time. No more double trouble, it's just too hard on everyone.
I've managed to fix 3 meals a day and even got a couple of loads of laundry done today, but I have to do a lot of sitting in between chores. And it seems like no matter how much I do, I'm just not getting enough done before I run out of energy. That, I'm just not accustomed to.
Thankfully, things can only get better.
