Random Musings of a Curious Mind

"It is an old maxim of mine that when you have excluded the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

NuMetrex Fitness Apparel

Eight years ago this month, I had a heart attack. Actually, I was hospitalized with a bleeding stomach. After 2-3 days of treatment, I was ready to go home and the doctors were ready to release me. Then, the labs finally came back and instead of wheeling me out to the car, the nurse wheeled me down to the cardiac floor. After a few more days, I did get to go home, but I had months of cardiac rehab until I got a clean bill of health from my doctors.

The monitors I used during rehab weren't exactly primitive, but they were bulky and hideously uncomfortable. Nothing like a heart rate monitor sports bra or cardio shirt from NuMetrex. I can't even imagine how much simpler the program would have been with these amazing tops. But, you don't have to have a heart attack to appreciate them.

If you're working on heart rate training, making sure that you maintain an optimum heart rate throughout your workout, these monitors are so much more comfortable. The chest-band monitors do the job, but unless you position them properly and adjust them just right, you don't get accurate results. Trust me, I have one and it's just not as efficient or simple to use.

For those who aren't into running or who prefer a low-impact workout, check out the cycling heart rate monitor information and how one NuMetrex manager uses his monitor to track his progress. There is a link to an article about the differences in heart rate when cycling versus running. Because of these differences, the progress by cycling will be very different than that achieved through a running program. Either way, the NuMetrex monitors are an important tool in any training regimen.

Take a minute and check out this video to learn how it works.

Then visit NuMetrex to find the monitor that best fits your lifestyle.
