Random Musings of a Curious Mind

US Health Freedom

As an editor for Health categories in DMOZ, I try to follow what's in the news. Today, I found this article in Wellness Resources and just had to post.

U.S. Health Freedom on Verge of Collapse

An excerpt: A new attack against health freedom, drug safety, and dietary supplements was launched last week by Senator Edward Kennedy (D-MA) with major support from Michael Enzi (R-WY). It is called the Food and Drug Administration Revitalization Act (S1082). This legislation was planned over the past few years working hand-in-glove with the FDA?s dysfunctional management and legal team ? meaning this legislation was written for the profits of Big Pharma and Big Biotech AT THE EXPENSE OF SAFETY AND HUMAN HEALTH.

Return of the Computer

Well, it has been a long, painful process, but I've finally got my computer back! Long, because I can't stand not to have my laptop for a day; painful, for the same reason.

I tell you - if you plan to buy a laptop and want a company that is responsive, responsible, and a breeze to deal with - go with Acer!

My hard drive had serious - as in crashed! - problems. Twice I've had to send it back to Acer. The first time was on my dime, the second was on theirs. They paid for 2-day shipping and had the package picked up at my door! You just can't beat that!

Acer replaced the parts that they found to be defective, at no cost to me either time, and shipped it right back.

I am not happy that I had problems, but I am thrilled with how Acer responds.

God Bless!

Jules
