GPS

Portable GPS systems are amazing. No matter where in the world you live, you can program these units to give you turn-by-turn directions. Of course, one does need to be careful. The news has been full of not-so-funny stories about turn left now scenarios that put drivers and their vehicles into the side of a building.

Perhaps, since I manage to get lost - too often - this is something (buildings notwithstanding) that could help me get around with a lot less stress.
