Random Musings of a Curious Mind

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe.
...But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself."

Wedding Dilemma

I am in the process of trying to put together a wardrobe for my daughter's wedding next month. Suffice it to say, I haven't dressed up in a very long time and I've never been mother-of-the-bride, so I'm in a bit of a quandary My nicest outfit will work for the rehearsal dinner, but not (obviously) for the wedding. Egad! What's a mom to do?

One of the problems is that it's an afternoon wedding, but all of the female attendants are wearing long dresses. Adding to my quandary, it isn't truly a formal wedding. Then, add in the fact that May in Colorado is not anywhere the same weather as May in Arizona. So, I have to find something appropriate in which I won't freeze to death.

Then, there's jewelry which, as it turns out, was the easiest part of my shopping expedition. I managed to find the most beautiful necklace and earrings in lavender freshwater pearls.

Keep watching this blog - find out if I end up attending in lovely pearls - and ratty jeans! (Just kidding, honey!)
