Lacy Afghan

Lacy Afghans are crocheted in a very open and, well, lacy pattern. Although delicate in appearance, they are still quite warm, and drape beautifully around the shoulders for an elegant wrap on cool evenings.

A more traditional afghan style, the width is determined first, then the pattern is repeated until the desired length is reached. There are no alternate stitches or panels. The Lacy Afghan is finished with a narrow border, adding a lovely finished edge.

Designed with a Red Heart "Fiesta" Yarn, this Afghan only offers a single-color option. Choose your favorite solid color, or add variety with one of the multi-color yarns. The Autumn Red customer design, was crocheted in Caron "Simply Soft" and was absolutely lovely. Makes me want to crochet another!

I don't recommend this Afghan style as a baby or crib blanket, because of the rather large open spaces in the pattern that can trap little fingers and toes. For that reason, as of May, 2010, this Afghan is no longer available in Small/Newborn 36"x36".
