This is one of the most common afghan patterns. A 'fan'-shaped stitch is crocheted in square or rectangular rounds until the desired size is reached. It's extremely similar to a granny-square Afghan.
In two (2) colors, the pattern will be five (5) rounds of the Primary color, followed by three (3) rounds of the Secondary Color, ending in a border in the Primary Color.
With three (3) colors, the afghan will appear as in the picture. The color order, from the center outward is: Primary, Secondary, Additional; ending with a border in the Primary Color.
